United Airlines to purchase 100 Boeing jets
United Airlines is in the process of making a major upgrade to its fleet of jets.
United Airlines Holdings Inc is engaging in a negotiation process that could potentially lead up to the purchase of up to 100 Boeing 737 Max jets in a bid to upgrade and revamp its collection of jets.
The company is also trying to purchase a long-haul single-aisle aircraft from Airbus.
United Airlines is allegedly gunning for the acquisition of multiple fuel-efficient aircraft models which is necessary due to increasing demand for vocational traveling in the United States of America.
The purchase will also be in favor of Boeing seeing as the company is working hard at increasing the sales of its Max jets that was slowed down due to the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on the aviation industry.
The representatives of United Airlines and Boeing declined to give details about the transaction, stating that it is confidential information until it is finalized.
