Tip Jar is Twitter’s new money transfer feature
Twitter has just made it easier for its users to support one another financially.
Tip Jar is a new feature that Twitter is introducing to the app in order to ensure that users can seamlessly send money to one another.
The newly introduced money transfer feature has its own icon that will be placed next to the ‘Follow’ button on a user’s profile page, signifying that the user has enabled their Tip Jar feature.
A tap on the Tip Jar icon will reveal a list of payment services or platforms that the user has enabled. A click on the selected platform will lead off of the app and to the selected platform in order to make the transfer of funds without Twitter taking a portion.
Tip Jar accepts payment platforms like Paypal, Venmo, CashApp, and others.
