President Joe Biden has found his way into the good books of many as he passes an order to have federal contractors pay federal workers a minimum wage of $15 per hour. The current minimum wage for federal workers is pegged at $10.95/hour.

According to directives coming from The White House, January 30th, 2022 is the date for all government agencies to begin abiding by the new minimum wage while March 30th, 2022 is the date for all agencies to do the same.

The increment in the minimum wage is predicted to have a long-term and positive effect on the small and local economies. It is expected to enable citizens to cope with the constantly increasing cost of living and eventually rule out tipped minimum wage in 2024.
