Scotland-based early bird investment management firm, Baillie Gifford, has pumped a whopping $100 million into Blockchain.com, a cryptocurrency startup company.
Peter Smith, the CEO of Blockchain.com, said that Baillie Gifford’s investment is the largest one that the company has recorded since its conception.
Baillie Gifford was established in 1908 by Carlyle Gifford and Augustus Baillie. The company still has its headquarters in Edinburgh, UK.
Baillie Gifford was a heavyweight investor in blue-chip companies like Tesla, Amazon, and others at their respective startup stages. The legendary investment management firm currently oversees about $445 billion worth of assets.
